Jim Durrett Represents MARTA on the ARC Transportation and Air Quality Committee
This year, the BCID's executive director Jim Durrett was appointed as MARTA's representative on the Atlanta Regional Commission's Transportation and Air Quality Committee (TAQC). Jim is a member of MARTA's board of directors.
The Committee serves as the transportation policy committee of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) board and represents the 18-county metropolitan planning area.
The Committee works to develop consensus among ARC, MARTA, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), the Georgia Environmental Protection Division and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority. The committee submits recommendations directly to ARC's board.
