Buckhead Community Improvement District

LCI Plan Update

LCI LogoAlmost 15 years ago, shortly after the Buckhead Community Improvement District (BCID) was created, we completed a community engagement and planning process that helped to identify opportunities for transportation investment and improvement in Buckhead. This effort was part of the Atlanta Regional Commission's Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) program. To date, over 100 communities in the Atlanta region have benefited from this planning process and have received tens of millions of dollars in planning and implementation grants. For example, Buckhead has benefited from a grant of $2,780,000 to the Buckhead CID from the LCI program that will help to pay for Phase 3 of our Peachtree Transformation project, between Maple Drive and Shadowlawn Avenue.

It is time for us to do a major update to our LCI plan, so the Buckhead CID will be issuing a request for proposals later this fall for a significant public outreach and planning process to examine issues and opportunities for further improvements for the entire district.
