Millions of Consumers Reached During Fall Media Tour

SUDIA's fall media tour covered all nine of our Southeastern states during the month of September, bringing positive dairy messages and dairy recipes to television stations, radio networks and newspapers across the Southeast. SUDIA team members conducted 84 interviews with dairy-packed recipes and promotional messages about the health benefits of dairy, reaching 1.9 million consumers in all of the major media markets in our area.

The media tour included three primary topics: "Feed Your Brain," "Are You Sugar Savvy?" and "Fight Fatigue with Food."

"Feed Your Brain" focused on the importance of protein and vitamin D for optimal brain power and function. "Are You Sugar Savvy?" debunked common myths about sugar and provided accurate information about the different types of sugars, specifically focusing on lactose. "Fight Fatigue with Food" provided tips incorporating dairy into the diet to sustain energy levels all day.

SUDIA team members were also interviewed on World Milk Day about the importance of incorporating dairy into the diet.

In addition to interviews on-air, the interviews were posted online through a variety of media channels, including websites, blogs and social media.

Following each television and radio broadcast, viewers were encouraged to visit SUDIA's website, www.southeastdairy.org, to find healthy dairy recipes.
