World School Milk Day Celebrations Make a Splash in the Southeast
The 16th annual World School Milk Day was observed on September 30 in schools all across the globe as a dedication to the nutrient-rich powerhouse, milk. World School Milk Day is celebrated by 40 countries, but was brought into Southeastern schools with the help of your promotion dollars, SUDIA staff and local dairy farmers.
More than 1,200 World School Milk Day kits were distributed across all nine SUDIA-region states, and included lessons on dairy nutrition, milk and cow fact posters, milk moustaches and other promotional gear for students of all ages.
Schools were also encouraged to be active and share their celebrations on social media using the special hashtags #WSMD or #ShareWSMD, leading to hundreds of photos posted online by over 80 schools representing all nine Southeastern states.
